To celebrate 40 years of Shotokan Karate the club arranged a special weekend training course with Sensei Chris Carr. Sensei started training in 1976 and is also in his 40th year of training in Shotokan karate and has trained with many high grade Japanese instructors over the years. Chris's lessons are structured on his experiences with training with these  instructors and has a different and unusual approach to his teaching. The lessons are about using what you know and how to have fun with it.

The class content was advance bunkai from segments of the Heian and Jitte kata. A very practical course with lots of content to work on.

Thanks Chris for a really enjoyable course and also to Keith Williams, Matt Smith and Les Deacon for coming and supporting the club.
